I am getting a new set of skid plates soon and was wondering what mfg i should get. My choices were DG, AC Racing, Cobra's, and maybe pro armors but they don't have a full set for the honda 250x/300ex? What do u guys got? Please post pics if you have any.

Also front bumper Pictures.

you can mix and match skids...i have prm swinger and chassis skids, along with mmf a-arm skids on my 450r and the 400ex has riccochet a-arm and chassis skids with an armadillo swinger skid...

What kind of riding do you mostly do?

If trails, go with a thicker (i suggest .25'' thick) swinger skid and like 3/16'' i think for the chassis skid. i had these on my 05z400, i had PRM skids, loved them, plus they cover your rear linkage, which a lot of other companies' skids dont.

If you do more mx, then i suggest going with a lighter, less heavy duty one.

hey landon, do they give you all of the bolts to mount all of the skid plates or do I have to buy new ones somewhere else? Mine are stripped.

Its bent up so bad I cant get a socket or nothing in there to tighten the bolts back up...theres only 2 holding it on there so Im just waiting for it to rip off next time I go ride and I cant buy another one right now because I dont have the money. I ripped the whole chain side off of it and didnt know it till a buddy of mine said whoa thats a weird skid plate I figured it would cover the whole chain and I kinda looked and him weird and sure enough when I got off and looked it was all gone...I figure the whole thing or the rotor side is next:ermm:

There is only one brand that will ever come close to any machine that I ever own, and that is PRM.

I had an AC plate that ripped off just like the one in a previous post. Junk. DG-junk.

PRM is where it's at when it comes to skidplates.

Can't go wrong with PRM or Armadillo.

I got Proarmor, I also installed Armadillo for some customers. I'm not saying they are the only plates out there and you should only by them. They do hold up well in Pa's rocky conditions.

This is Armadillo frame and Pro Armor A-arm skids I just installed.

My vote is always for PRM. I run them on a couple of quads and they are great. Hold up really well, look good ... can't go wrong.
