Just the gear sprocket, everything else will remain from your old cam and not be used. Make sure you pull the little compression release spring and plunger out of the head. It is in a little hole, take a look and you'll see it.

Other than that, just make sure you use a good amount of assembly lube and keep things clean. Break in is very important and follow the directions closely on it.

yeah you will need to save the flange and reuse it.
Ive been wanting to know some info about the cam install im geting ready to install mine next week.
Can anyone post an install summary of what needs to be done?

Sorry about the confusion, I did mean the cam gear flange (I figured you already knew you needed to use the timing gears again!!). That is the only part that will be used off the original cam.

Make sure you adjust your valves after break in, they will be pretty loose from the initial wear/break in. Again, use ample assembly lube and again, keep it clean!!

Nope, you will not use any of the decompression parts again, you can toss them out. When the Hot Cam is ready to install, it will just be a "naked" cam with the flange for the timing sprocket, that's it.

Be careful and follow the little note in the box about installing the flange, it can and will break if it is not removed/installed correctly. A little TLC and you can change it. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, any machine shop can do it for a few bucks.

If you have any other questions, lemme know, I'll do what I can to help. BTW, do you have the manual for all the specs on the engine?

Yep! 1 Shaft, 4 Lobes, 1 Flange with 1 bearing on each end = one naked Hot cam ready to install!!!
