Removing the Brake Stay?

I think it just pulls off once you have the rotor off?

otherwise there's probably a C-Clip.

There is a C-clip. Once you have that off, you may have to tap it with a hammer to get it to slide off the carrier.

There was a c-clip, but theres still a lip that the C - Clip was on it keeping it from coming off.

it will slide over the groove with a little finess. try using a rubber mallet and tap it off. work your way around the stay and eventually it will pop off. it's a very tight fit.
