I use Monstorous Box Wrenches since I already had them. (1-3/4" & 2-1/4" box wrenches.)

It's a piece of crap because you used the wrong tool? I dont get it?

It's a piece of crap because the parts seized up, or the parts failed because of using the incorrect tool to tighten them? We need more info.

It may be the indian and not the arrow. I used those G force wrenches just a month ago and it did the trick on my 7 yr old axle. The nut had never been taken off and I reused it without any problem. G force;s are the way to go.

the nuts can be a slight pain...but if you use the correct tools they come off VERY easily.

I bought a 24" cresent wrench from Harbour Freight for like $20 or something. It's a monster.

I like the adapters though.

Personally I think the stock axle nut is a piece of junk to begin with. Never wants to stay tight again after you take it off for the first time and the fine thread pitch/high torque makes it prone to stripping. Mine started to spin and strip itself out at a crucial time when I needed to replace a broken swingarm. It eventually caught its threads and backed off but still frustrated me nonetheless  :p I run a RAD locknut now...tighten it once it stays that way, plus is MUCH easier to install/remove when necessary. For around 40 bucks it's tough to beat IMO.

only pic I have at the moment

On my YFZ, the allen keys some how got stripped, so i had to monkey wrench it off, wrecked my stock axlem and had to get a new lock nut, what a ***** that was

I always wire wheel the threads on the collar when I remove the axle nut. I've never had any problems.

why didn't you try an easy out in the set screws or try drilling them out? you would have avoided wrecking the axle
