86 swingarm on 89style lsr frame

If I use a spacer in the center cutout of the swingarm, is there any reason this swingarm won't work?

I plan on doing the same thing on my atc250r frame build. I am gonna use my +1 lsr swinger, but this frame has the rear motor mount in the frame. I plan on using a piece of gas pipe cut to the size legnth and calling it done.
