ok i just ordered 2 new rockford power subs that are 12 inch and are stage 2. the thing is now i don't know which amp amps to buy. fosgate has this one amp that is mono that puts out 1500amps. so i was thinking of getting two of those and putting those up to the power subs. but if i find a 2 channel amp that is 4000amps or lest i will get that. its just that i have not found one yet. i do perfer fosgate but another kind of amp won't hurt. oh yea the subs are 4 ohms too.

so if anyone can put me to a good website that will give me help or if you can give me help that will be a big help thanks. i order this kennwood cd player though.

Can you post the exact model # of the subs so that we can give you a more accurate idea of what to get.

Seems to me, that you are eyeing way more amp than what you need.

Thats alot of Amps!:eek2: Lol JJ

I think a 1500 would be find. My audiobans are adjustible. 2ohm ro 6ohm and I am running a 1,000 watt amp and they hit fine. Also the old man at the music shop told me not to crossover the amp and try to get more out of it. He said it dosen't work. Only way to crossover is to cross it over from the speakers. Which is simple to do. Thats how you set up the ohms

That is a big sub. I hope you are planning on buying more than just amps to power theses. You are more than likely going to need some stiffening caps, a higher output alternator(or multiple), multiple batteries(Although, multiple batteries aren't completely neccessary).

I love Fosgate amps. I would buy this amp. Because with the dual 4 ohm sub, you will be able to wire all voice coils together to get a 1 ohm load, which will pull the maximum 2000watts from this amp. Plus it is a bd class amp, so the power consumption will be less than a typical amp.

One more question. HOw do you spend that much on subs and you don't have the whole system already planned out?
