Put her up so her *** end is off the ground again, and see if there is play in the axle. Greasing your carrier don't hurt either.

Did it occasionally make a high pitch squeal? If so, thats exactly what mine is doing. They axle really doesn't have any play in it, maybe a few mm's, but nothing huge.

Yes as long as the carrier is not messed up.

is it worth it to just order a new dual Row carrier that already has the bearings installed??

your carrier is toast... most likely there are shards of metal and metal dust all inside it between your axle and carrier. ive had 2 go out on the hondas ive owned. makes a nasty scraping noise and some clanks and will eventually lock up... take the axle out and check it out before you start buying things. you can usually get bearing carriers pretty cheap off ebay, around $150. hope this helps

pull it apart and find out, shouldnt take you but 20 minutes to diagnose, probably the amount of time it took to make a video and post it.

Looks like I know what I am doing tomorrow. I hope I can just replace the Bearings. Is it a hard job??

Dont bother replacing the bearings alone. I never had to do that, but when my bearings went, everyone at the races say its twice the work, to put the bearings in alone. Just get a new carrier, all you gotta do is grease it up and slid it in.

If you can afford a carrier w/ everything pre-installed then that is your best bet. If not, then replace just the bearings. It's not really that hard, just make sure you pack everything with grease. (You can never have enough!)

Just take it apart. Check out the damage done. If just the bearings are toast just get a set of new bearings and bring it to a shop. If you can get the bearings out, just have some shop put the bearings in it. Less headache and not really that much money to have it done. If the carrier is toast also just get a dual row bearing carrier from ebay and forget about it and grease it every other oil change while the *** end is off the ground. Pump a few squirts of grease in the carrier, spin the axle and hit it with a couple more. Don't pump some much that it tries to push the seals out.
