Why? You can't race it in the GNCC. They have a 810cc limit I belive.

WPSA I belive has a 750CC limit.

950cc is going to be really heavy. I think they should stick to the lower CCs and pump out some more HP that way

I have yet to see an instance anywhere out on the trail , that 950 cc would be needed . Hell I it's hard to find a place where 600 CC is needed.

The manufacturers are going overboard with all these big bores. The only thing they're causing , is more headaches down the road when people start getting killed because these machines are too powerful . It happened in the snowmobile industry and mark my words , it WILL happen in the ATV industry.

I heard this one is aimed at the Renegade and V-force a little more sport than ute.

A claimed 188 ft/lbs of torque . Yup I see a lot of people wrapping themselves around trees with this machine . Great for the farm , too big for the trails.

I have a hard time believing this, in Minnesota (Where they're made), if its over 800cc its not an ATV, its an off-highway vehicle.

I guess you'll be seeing a few more Off-Highway Vehicles running around .

Cat had all their new models up online lastnight ... I guess someone was doing a test run on the website for a few minutes and luckily a few pictures were saved . :p

950cc .
700 H1 EFI
366
700 EFI TRV
700 H1 EFI Prowler with tilt steering .

this is what happens whenever a new quad is released....

1. rumors come out and everyone says "no way no how, why would they do that its so stupid."

2. it comes out, everyone is like, that is so useless, why would anyone want that, it's way too much

3. everyone buys one.

Wheel base is 52.5
Width is 47.5

It might be good for pulling the ice fishing shantys around but my friends foreman already does that. Might be good for pulling your ex's house over.

I'd love to see that motor in a UTV. ;)

I was wrong, MN changed their laws, now its all about the weight. As long as its under 900lbs its still a Class I ATV, over 900lbs. Class II ATV(UTV)

My bad, it was on the homepage at midnight that day.

I like it none the less. This is the machine i think many people will put insane lifts on and they will flat out haul ***. Cant wait.

Fact is. I believe you can buy just about any ATV nowadays and be perfectly happy.

someone said it on another website so i believed it.... But here's the thing... It says that (but that is a extremely high amount of torque), also on the website, on 2 different places it has 2 different tire sizes, 25 and 26, which made me think it was a typo.

and also, I was considering getting one, but I saw the upgrades kawi did to the bf750 this year, so I think Im headed that route again, I have a million miles on mine and minimum problems... and a $3,000 price difference

Ya I agree .... you're going to see a ton of these quads at some of the mud runs and stuff . This quad would be perfect for out on the farm when you have to haul a heavy load.

And you're right , now days any ATV you buy is pretty reliable and will keep you happy for years .

188 foot pounds of torque are you kidding me ... the polaris outlaw 525 was claimed at 25 ... i highly highly doubt 177 ft/lbs of torque is right

07250ex
06-17-2007, 11:00 AM
that much toque on a 700 pound machine , that would rip you of the quad think what 300 ft/lbs does in a 3,500 pound car it pushes you back in your seat pretty good that would mean the toque to weight ratio is like 3:1 that much torque is enough to creep up to a tree lightly touching it and slowly pressing the throttle enough so that it dents ur bumper in goes thro the radiator possibly even into the engine destroying the machine .. can't wait to read in the news when some 20 year old decks a tree with no helmet doing 40 though the woods and winds up going thro the tree and out the other side:eek2:

V-twins make great torque....look at the Honda RC51 and Ducati bikes. There Hp is pretty good too!

Why would anyone ever need a machine that big. I really thought a 700 was already too much......I could them being Badazz mud machines though.

TheFontMaster

I really have a problem beliving that it will put out 188 foot pounds even if it is 900cc's. Look over to the snowmobiles. They are making in that range, but they are making that with triple cylinder 2 strokes, and turbo'd 4 strokes. The engine technology in the sleds are also more advanced than for quads. Although the quad motors are catching up.

Look at the outlander 800, they are supposed to make I believe 62 horse power, and a lil less torque. I can see the 900 making 88 horses, but not 188.

At first, 188 seemed really high, but after I just did some math, 188ft/# seems possible.

the weight will be a let down in the fun factor, but it better kill the competition.. if it doesn't destroy the brp, kawi, suz, pol, yam big bore atv's then they wasted time and a potential engine.

If the bike has unreal acceleration the aftermarket companies will step in to make it handle good, so i'm not to worried about that as much as engine power.. (which sounds a little backwards)

I'm excited about the new engine if it does what its advertised to do plus some.
People will get hurt no matter what the companies release...

i'm glad someone is doing something a little different.

I dont remember what it was, but it weighs somewhere around 715 lbs, which isnt heavy at all compared to some others.
