I went riding for about and hour or so and got the quad muddy. I turned it off and went inside. I came back out like 2hours later, back it up and washed it. After I dried it I turned it on and i noticed puffs of smoke coming out the pipe. A little an an idle and more when reved. I turned it off the on again. Same thing. About a min later I turned it on and there was only a little smoke when i first revved it but then none after. I thoough it was fixed. I started it up about 5min later to make sure it stopped, and is smoke the same as last time. The smoke at first seemed dark grey, then a fainter grey. I checked the oil and it is fine. I just put a new tank of gas in it before the ride. I did notice that it smelled like gas a little more than usual. What is wrong!!

Thanks for your time.

Now that I think about it. it probly your air filter then. You proble need to clean it.

you could just be getting water in somewhere. After i go through puddles or wash my 300 -- it smokes and wont stay started unless you have it pinned. This only lasts for like 1 minutes tops. Make sure that everything is watertight and clean the airfilter.

Also buy a pre-filter if you go in that type of terrain all the time.

when you washed it you probably got some water in the muffler and thats why it kept faiding out... as it blew out and dried out mine does the exact same thing... and it smeels a little rich ususally too sometimes if the air filter gets a little water on it it blocks the air some

Yeah a wet air filter kills air flow.
