airbox lid design

im about to cut my airbox lid 4 my 400ex, i was just wondering if this is enough lid to cut, im planing on blocking my snorkel off 2.

Do u ride threw water?.Y don't u just remove it completely.then rejet it.u will get the most out of your engine this way
