View Full Version : Front Tire Size

Hey guys its time for new fronts on the 300. what size should i get and why? i have 22" realtors on back. should i get 21", 22", 23"????? i am thinking of getting bandits, razrs, or holeshots. Thanks.

the smaller you get on the front the better it will stear.

i made the mistake of putting 23's on ym 400...it doesnt steer bad at all...but they look a little big..so next time im goin back down to 22's:blah

get the razrs thats what i had and i was going to get some more and every where i called to order some more they were sold out so i got the mx fronts and they don't last as long and they only come in 2ply as far as i know. The razrs were put on my 99 400 a month after i got it and i just took them off this summer they were wore out but they didn't have any holes in them.

Well u want your quad to sit back a little, so if u have 22s then get 23s in the front, steering is the same and u actually gain ground clearence a little, i dont want to be leanin forward man...not good!:eek: and o ya the razrs i heard in the front are awesome and hook up great, haoleshots aweosme to, go with maybe the xct holeshots if u do, i am still deciden wether xct or azrs in front, i got razrs in back and they are bomb

ok you guys, some of you say get smaller fronts because they steer better an others say get bigger fronts so the back end sit lower. Which should i get? Also, how good do razr's wear? Do they wear better than holeshots? How are bandits for traction and wear?:huh

razrs wear good. ive rode mine of the road and given em heck and the lil knobs are still there. and they pull and steer good. redrider ex wants some more razrs jus cuz i got some :D haha j/k bud. they are good tires. get the 6 plys they arent as heavy as i thought they were gonna be. the bandits are heavy.

the razr's sound pretty good. do the 6 plys weigh much more than the 4 plys?

go to the razr website, it said the 4ply 22" razrs weighed the same as the 6ply 22" tires :huh

I like the 19inch holeshots,,,the low profile design looks sweet and they handle real nice!!

well since your name is swamprider I am hypothesizing that you are using your quad for woods riding. Since you have 22 inch realtors in the rear you are probably riding in muddy woods. I would go for a 23 inch front tire cause of ground clearance and th steering wont be much of a difference. Plus I think a larger front tire lookss a **** of alot better than same size or smller front tires. IMHO....
