I bought a paul turner cylinder off ebay a couple weeks ago and installed it today only to discover that I need a spacer plate. Its a 88 rod and a 89 cylinder with I'm guessing a 86 style piston. The cylinders a 265 and I did some research on a few threads and learned they don't make a 88 style piston that big. So does anybody know what thickness spacer plate I need? 4.5mm? Also is it mandatory to replace cylinder studs with longer ones to run a spacer? thanks.

yep 4.5mm, you need the longer studs also, esr sells the complete thing you need. It comes with studs, spacer plate, longer collars, nuts, 2 base gaskets, I think it comes with reed gaskets too.
