Air Filter???????

I have an 01 400EX stock and i want to get a HMF slip'on if i got a K&N filter would i have to use tha screen thingy in tha stock air filter or not or would i have to buy anutha type for that filter?

If you run with your air box lid OFF I would highly recommend an Outwears protector. If you run with the lid ON than it wouldn't be needed.

any aftermarket filter I've seen does not use the stock screen insert. If you choose a K&N, please do get an outerware as mentioned on the previous post.

I plan on get'n the outerwears pre filter if i get a K&N filter i just wanted to make sure i didnt need to get a screen thingy like what was n my stock air filter or if i could use tha one that was n my stock filter
