06 trans problem

today i was drag racing and after about 7 or 8 passes the trans would not shift from 3rd to 4th i let it cool off and it was fine till it got warm again anyone else had this problem or fixed it

I had a porblem like yours but mine was between 1st,2nd, and 3rd. Took it apart to find out all the dog gears were worn. Instead of spending 1000 bucks for a new trans I found a guy in Fla who race cuts gears and saved 600 bucks.
But really you never know what it is untill you get it apart. It could be something as simple as a bent shifter fork.

I would call Dee from RAGE... he has been working on some high horse power trannies with great success.

I guess its a common problem on 06 machines with a little more power than stock.... Never knew it happened to stockers too... that sucks.

ive had all sorts of problems------- better tear it down and check everything---- ive had my down for tranny problems three times in six months------- first the shift drum cracked and the shift forks bent--- then the shift drum and forks again----- and finally when i was at a big race all the tranny gears went out and quit shifting-- wouldnt stay in gears,,,, wouldnt shift between gears----- it sucks-- i finally ended up replacing everything and now it shifts awesome--- (but prolly only for another 80-100 hrs)???
