My guess would be in the 8000 range somewhere if they want to sell any.

Go look at the specs and you will see that $8000 would be a pipe dream. You could not even come close to buying any other sport quad and add what the KTM comes stock with to be even close to $9000.

The 525 is ready too race GNCC out of the box. If the 450 is 50 inches wide all you need to add are nerf bars to race. Even at 10K it would be a steal. I think all you will see in the stock class is the KTM in the near future

Nice try, but sorry. KTM parts are the same as everybody else now. Some more, some less. The "old" style motor in these quads is super reliable and lasts a LONG time. My buddy has a 520 with original motor/piston that has over 10k dualsport miles on it, mostly dirt. He is a very fast rider, two speeds haulin *** and stopped. I would say these quads should be the hot ticket as long as the tranny can take it.

Buy any 450 other than the KTM and put comparable suspension and a-arms alone and you'll be well over the KTM price.

Then you can add the hydraulic clutch, anti-vibe stem, braided lines, maxxis tires, oversize gas tank, kill switch, the list goes on... You'll be over 10k, and with the exception of the Kawie, you still won't have reverse!

9k for the 525 is sounding good to me!

u can get a handful of the stuff that u see on the ktm on an outlaw 525s.....steel braided brakes, hydrualic clutch, 3.9 gallon gas tank, reverse, no linkage swing arm, not to mention fox shocks. i know they are no ohlins by any means but the guys at rath racing do an awesome job at rebuilding those shocks with pep insides for a $1000 for all three shocks and they are customized to your riding style and weight. I had it done with my predator and talk about a night and day difference

I have 2 issues with the Outlaw,

#1 is it's a Polaris. I know they have gotten better over the years but I stilll don't think they are quite there yet.

#2. The width 47.5". That is too wide for most cross country racing and a little narrow for MX. IMO they should have went 49" on the 450 and then 45.5 on the 525.

True. I have a few issues with the outlaw as well. The 525S still weighs 25lbs more than the KTM, I don't like the exhaust or the seat. And I hear the airbox design was poorly thought out. I think it's still a big step up from the predator, but this has turned into a very competitive market segment.
