axle bearing problem

so im tring to take out my bearings and one breaks apart now i got the carrier out but part of the old bearing wont come out of it. anyone got any tricks as to how to get this outside ring of the bearing out afte rthe rest has fallen out? thanks

you may need to get a piece of steel welded to the inside of the outside race of the bearing, so that you have somthing to hit on from the other side. thats what i had to do when the only thing left in the carrier was the outside. you must of got it real hot and it may have seated in there a little.

I used a dremel tool to cut away the band that was stuck in there. A screwdriver did the rest. BE VERY VERY careful. Don't chew-up the carrier.
