I just have a quick question for you truck and engine people. I tried google but couldn't really find what i was looking for. and fullsizechevy.com is down.

how much horsepower does the 5.0 305 v8 have? And how about the 5.7liter 350 v8? how much quicker is the 350ci compared to the 305ci?

I am wondering because I'm going to be driving soon when i get my permit and I have a 1994 Chevy 2500 W/t with the 5.0 305 in it and was wondering how much power they had compared to the 5.7 liter 350's.
Name the pros and cons between the 2 engines.

also if u got a pre-2000 chevy post it up!:macho

well what years are you talking about?? that is the main thing

1987-1995 Throttle body 350 (5.7) TBI put out 210HP at the crank, and 300 ft/lbs torque.

the the 305 i beleive had like 180 or somethin, not entirely sure though

once you get into the vortechs, 1996+ power goes up.

5.7 350 had 255 at the crank, with teh 305 not far behind at 230.
