What kind of gusset kit do you use for a 450R?

I use Bare kits mainly, but have installed most of the other brands if requested.

I have it narrowed down between the Lonestar and Bare, which one do you think is better? Also do you mig or tig weld the gussets?

I think the LSR kit is far more involved and offers probably the best upper frame tube gusseting on the market(which is where the 450R frame tends to crack the most often)

I mainly mig weld in the Bare kits, but on the LSR i've done both (mig and tig) With so much welding on the upper tube, tig works a bit better there.

The thing I hear the most is that the cost of the LSR kit (Walsh as well) out weighs the long term benefit. However, with the cost of a replacement frame going up a while back this may no longer be an issue.

I forgot to ask, how do you strip the old paint off the frame?

if its factory paint they get sandblasted, if they are already powdercoated, they are sent to a burn off facility and then media blasted

What type of kit was that you guys used on the project 450R? I know I want my rear upper tube done like it had.

Do you know if there is a PC that matches close to the stock Gray of the hubs?
