idling problems

My 05 yfz starting acting up the other day, it quit idling and sometimes it would idle real high and other times it wouldnt, So I cleaned the air filter, cleaned the carb out, and now I put it back together and it still does it. I have adjusted the throttle cable and the idling screw. I can get it to idle but when you give it gas it likes to idle really fast. What could it be?

Was my idle screw when I had that problem. If yours is screwed out too much it'll still do it. Back it all the way in and set it to 2 - 3 turns out. Worked for me....

i had that problem on my 04 my idler screw unscrewed from the nut inside make sure that didnt happen to you and be carful of the little parts inside of the cover make sure you catch them all
