Carb question

The only carbs I've ever messed with are the simple little ones on honda atc's so when I looked at the carb on the 300ex it looked alot different. Does anyone know any resources online that have the carburetor diagram from a shop manual scanned. I ordered a manual but cant wait for it to get here. my quad will run but it idles really rough and dies. I assumed that the screw on the bottom was the idle adjustment but what is the knob on the upper side of the carb for? As of right now Im just trying to get the throttle disconnected.
