DVX, Z400, KFX400....what years where the frame issues fixed?

03 was the worst and i belive it carried over to the begining of 04 but not 100%

05 had all the upgrades, stronger frame, shocks, couple other things

03 is the frame issue year. 04s got new frames, removable grab bar, and a new chain adjuster. 05s then got all the big changes you see now.

So really to be safe I should just look at 05s and up. Thanks.

Also did the KFX and Zs get the changes at the same time?

yes if you type in 2005 kfx400 on google images you will notice the revised shocks with resavoirs

Also Josh, ask the owner if they had the recall fixed on the '05 and some '06s....

I heard about it just not on the 05s and up. My GFs 03 still hasn;t had the mag cover fixed. I dont think it leaks. Not sure yet

Your GF's 03 won't have the problem cuz they didn't change the covers to magnesium till '05....

I thought the 03s had a coolant leak too? Dang I am getting my years messed up lol:o
