I'm thinking about getting a 12 front and 41 rear, stock chain is 92 links I think with 13 front and 40 rear, does anyone know how many links I will have to get by changing the sprocket sizes? If it is going to be too big of a deal, I may just keep it the same. Anything else I should know about? What chain and sprockets do you think? I am just a novice rider. A begginer not an expert.

Most raptor riders go that route with a 12 tooth front. I liked my results better from keeping the 13 tooth front stock and going up two teeth in the rear to 44. With the 12 tooth I felt my gears were a little too short. First gear pretty much became useless.

As for buying links? :huh

You should replace your chain if you're replacing your sprockets. A rule of thumb is to replace one if you're replacing the other.

what about the links? How many should I get going 12 and 41? How many links did you have to use when you went to 44 rear?
