Do you guys know if its worth to put a pipe on a 400ex? I know it has a great sound but does it add much power ?

I don't have a pipe..........I think they make more noise than they are worth. If you are racing, I say go for it. If you are trail riding, I say you are wasting your money.

4punks, I thought the same thing till i directly compared piped 400exs to my stock 400ex.
The piped Exs pull a higher gear, and they don't bog down nearly as much in higher gears. I find a 400ex with a pipe much less tiring and fun to ride. JMO
As for pipes i personally like the t-4, and IDS2. The Ids2 gives pretty good power for being one of the cheaper pipes out there, Its got a nice bark to it also , Not overly loud or annoying at all.
The T-4 is Very loud , tho the power increase is awesome. They do sound sweet for being so damn loud.

yea, a pipe, air filter and jet is the easiest and cheapest way to get more power
