LSR Carrier

Quick question, I just bought a Twin Row and on the stock carrier there are 2 large o-rings that fit in a groove and the LSR does not have these grooves, so do I just eliminate those or not? Also what is the purpose of a grease zerk for sealed roller bearings?

Many aftermarket carriers do not use the outer o-rings.

The zerk fitting, IMO, is just a marketing ploy for thier product. Though a new carrier may need to be filled prior to installation.
