my old quad had white plastic. i bought the atv used and it had some scraches on them. some were deep that dirt got in and made it even worse. it was hard to clean it out. i dont think i'd ever buy an atv with white plastic again. hope this can help.

i have to disagree with zje on this one...my 400ex with maier plastics is very easy to keep clean...of course i am very anal about cleaning any of my bikes...it never sits overnight, after riding, without being washed...

the mud come right out of the scratches that i do have...all i do is pressure wash it then i hand wash it sung a sponge...of course all of this is after i have taken the fenders off the bike...every time

If it scratched and you let it sit with mud on it they'll turn brown and then they're a pain to clean.

well i think that if the plastic is always cleaned after you ride you should be fine. again i bought a used atv with white plastic and it had deep scratches and i was unable to clean the dirt out of it.
