you dont need one, but if you have a hot cam and valve work done then its going to allow you to get more horsepower out of those mods. also look into a aftermarket air filter

HMF is one of the best to get. Also Curtis Sparks but its a little bit more pricy.

You dont need one, but it will really let your mods shine. If you do cams and piston etc.. You should pipe (full) your quad and carb too. You need to let the engine breathe. Trust me I know, my 440 has a stock pipe...

If i were you, depending on how much $$$ is available, i would get the Yoshimura Full exhaust and a K&N air filter kit. if you can't afford that then just go with the air filter kit for now, and save up your dough for the exhaust.

Only reason i pick the yoshimura is because not only does if give you more HP for your buck, but it doesn't make your quad too loud either. It stays quiet compared to other exhausts i know, i think it's at 96 dB, but i don't remember.

I've got a Yosh full system and granted I pulled the arrestor, but it's much louder than my friends WB & my other friends FMF.
As far as what brand, just stick with a name brand from the top 5 or 6 companies (Yosh, FMF, HMF, Sparks, even White Bros), and you won't be dissapointed.

Pretty sure they don't make Rossier pipes for the ex.

A guy I ride with has a Yoshi and he loves it. I have the HMF and I really love it. I can't really tell you what ones better; but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 3 you listed.

From experience of running the White Brothers and then the HMF, I must say that I have seen much more improved toruqe from HMF. Unless sound control is a must have, I would get the HMF over W.B. any day.

I would totally agree. My bud has a WB on his R, and imo it doesn't sound great.
Do a search on pipe in this forum. There's a 100 threads on good/bad pipes, and what most people are running.
