Will the trail tech endurance computer fit on a 2005 400ex.

yes...i would suggest using the billet protector and mount it to the bars...the cheap mount that comes with it does not allow you to place it in a well protected area or an easily viewed area...

How do I remove the neutral and reverse lights and ignition switch?

the lense pops off the lights, get a thin bladed screw driver adn pry them off...the key switch will just twist and unlock out of the plastic....you will have to unhook the wire about a foot an ahlf donw form the switch and pull it through the bar cover...if you talk to trailtech, they will make sure you get the right adapter/protector to run the way you want to...they are very helpful...

One more question. This may sound dumb, but when I take that plastic piece off and put that trail tech computer on the handle bars where will the ignition switch and nuetral and reverse lights go. By the way thanks for all the info speedyquad

i am not sure, but trail tech should have adapters/bar clamps/some kind of set up, that will allow you to keep them in about the same place that they are now...

look around at www.trailtech.net

and you are welcome for the help

I own a 2006 TRX400EX. I have a Trail Tech Endurance mounted on my quad. I bought the Trail Tech X-Bars, Bar Clamps, and Billet Dash board. The Bar clamps came with a plastic trim piece that houses the ignition key and neutral/reverse lights. Here's a picture.

The Endurance model can be purchased for $65 to $75. It includes the stock handle bar mounting equipment. Installation takes less than 15 to 20 minutes. You will need basic hand tools and a drill with a 1/8" bit. You pull the front right tire and replace one of the stock brake rotor bolts with a magnetic bolt that is included with the kit. The drill/drill bit are required to drill a hole in the knuckle assembly to mount and secure the sensor. The sensor cable is routed up to the bars by zip-tying it to the brake line.
I'm glad I've got it. I like knowing how fasting I'm going and how far I've riden. It's also excellent for tracking maintenance intervals like valve adjustments and oil changes.
