06 exhaust on an 05?

My buddy called wanting to know if an 06 rossier would fit on his 05, I was under the impression that it would not, so this is what I told him. He calls me back 2 minutes later to tell me that all of the bolts line up! What the heck? I thought they weren't interchangable?:confused:

did he just use a slip-on or the full pipe? cause i was wanting to use an 06 HRC pipe but didnt know if it would fit.

Yeah i thought sub frames were different on the 06 compared to 04/05! got me I have a HRC head pipe i believe still in my parts box.

the way the can mounts to the subframe [04/06] is diff ........but the location is exactly the same. so yeah, it will work

It was a full exhaust rossier, he claims it bolted right up no problems, but I will see for myself this weekend. I do believe he said it slightly touches the frame in one spot, but I know he has a bent subframe so his stock headpipe did that too I think. I will definitely look into it more when I get home this weekend.

i thought the mounting was different in the rear???? call joe at rossier and ask him he always answered when i called.......and its a really tight fit about the middle of the quad (straight up from the peg)well mine is atleast

I was told that they are different also , BUT my buddy bought an exhaust off an 04 and put it on his 06. It was a full curtis sparks x6. The only thing that was messed up was Wear the head pipe came out of the cylinder and started to turn back towards the can, It came out really far and hit the lower radiator hose. And then wear it turns to go behind the frame around where the kicker would be (04-05) it rattles against the frame when the bike is on.Other then that it all bolts up the exhaust same , just the headpipe is alittle wierd , could be different for differernt brand exhausts.
