How much do you think my bike is worth???

I have 06 450er,pro design intake,rossier exhaust,rossier jets,hrc needle,hot cams stage 2, nerf bars, and a breather valve:maltees cross!!!

i could be worth 100 to 5000...condition is a big thing

the fact that the 07 and sounds like 08 havnt changed much makes the 06 hold its value (until the next great thing is out)

why you thinking of getting rid of it ?

Your better off selling your aftermarket parts on ebay and putting the quad back to stock. You can still find a bunch of left over brand new '05's the dealer around here is selling for $4899.

no i was just thinking of trading in for an 08...but i think im going to just keep it and wait a couple more years...and then get a new one!!!!

My buddy with an 06 brought his in for trade in... they offered him $3400 and his has VERY FEW hours on it.

you will always get the least bang for your buck on a trade in... Stealerships are just that...

If i had it to do over again, i wouldve either waited, for the price to go down in a few months. Or just bought a used bike, let somone else take the $$$ hit of buying something brand new, and losing 2-3k from taking it off the lot.

do some research on anything your going to buy or sell that is worth more than a grand or two, there are people and businesses that will love to free uneducated people from their money or toys.


bottom line, if you dont want to be taken advantage of you better know as much as they do.
blue book/retail, private party, and trade in.

you can save a couple thousand by a couple hours work.
1,000.00 per hour is gooooooooooood wages

I will NEVER buy a used quad again unless its from someone i knew pretty good. You just will never know the whole truth about the quad. I would rather be the one buying it new and konw that any mistake that is made, is on me.

your right about not knowing everything that has been tampered with... But go over it with a fine tooth comb before buying it... Hell try and get permission to bring some tools over, and get inside it a little bit, to check things out... ie run the quad for awhile, then change the oil/oil filter, check for flakes and glitter... take the carb off, and crack it open, check for dirt.

Of course youd be supervised,

if i was selling a bike, and a guy was ready with money in hand, I would show him that the internals were sound, and ready to go... if he asked, if not, then so be it.
