random question... how much $ are pugs?

My grandma got hers for $250 its a full blooded one and it came with papers of all its ancestors:huh I heard it was a great deal though. I heard they are going for almost 1k a piece.

Chinese pugs are the coolest dogs. Great pets, smart, loving and loyal, bad sinuses and snore like freight trains.

we are thinking of getting another dog and the pug came up but my better half is scared its eyes will FALL OUT :blah:

if your getting one, get one from a respectable breeder rather than a pet store ... trust me

I am not sure of an exact dollar amount, but if you are looking into getting one, I suggest you do research and find a quality breeder. Pugs have ALOT of health problems, like breathing and eyes, and to buy one from an unexperienced or backyard breeder, is just asking for problems. You can go to the AKC website and find breeders, then you can go from there.

Or you can rescue one, adoption fees are typically between 200 and 300$'s this covers having the animal spayed/neutered and other costs of caring for and housing the dog at the shelter.

We have two black pugs, previous two died a year ago. They are the absolute best breed of dogs you could ever own. The few health problems they have are worth the hassle! We paid $500/each, they are both AKC registered. No other dogs have such individual personalities as pugs, they are all so unique.

my wife and i just had this conversation yesterday about pugs. i saw a black one at my work and the little guy was so cool. the owner raved about how awesome they are
