A standard travel a-arm is any arm using a stock length shock.

+2's could be either depending on how they are made, It sounds like you want to use the stock shocks so you want standard travel. Long travel is a somewhat decieving term, it does not necessarily mean the fourwheeler will gain any suspension travel, but that it is a longer shock.

I don't know if I would consider any of the a inexpensive a-arm 'good'. Personally I would stick well known names.

okay.. well im almost positive i have a set of 450r front shocks lined up cause iknow a buddy who has to race two 450r that he has set up fully and doesnt use any of his stock shocks... what a-arms should i consider.. and is the 450r rear shock better than the 400ex rear one?? and also if i do buy those 450r front would i need them revalved or resprung if they're new and would that set them up right for my 400ex?? thanks

DO NOT put the 450r rear on the 400. it makes the bike sit low which is about the only good thing it does. other then that it sucks, has like no up travel and rides like crap
