400 EX Vs 300EX

I've just got my 400 EX and I didn't saw much diference in the motor and performance, just in the suspension and other stuff. There isn't much diference and a holeshot with the two quads must be almost the same isn't it?Tell me about your experiences

Good then its not just me. I rode my friends 400EX and it felt just like my 300EX in power,suspension was better though. I dont see why everyone thinks the 400 is so special.

see nt trying to flame but people that dont have one are like there nuthing special and crap and you gotta learn to ride the 400ex it is alot faster now than when i started and i have rode since i was 2 z-50 and crap its all technique and the 400ex is just a bigger quad= nicer ride and a lighter weight which is good and the only thing a 300ex could beat a 400ex on is a reverse drag race! it has better tires suspension motor axle swingarm frame design egronomics.......yep footpeg posistion feels like when you stan up that ur going to fall off the front of it.... and stuff its just a better machine ask anybody here on exriders... that knows usmthing bout hondas and how to ride....no flame inteneded i am just tired of saying the 300ex is as good as a 400.......:huh :grro

The 300 doesn't even compare to a 400ex, My 400ex ate up my 300ex all day long.

Well then you have the wrong people riding the 300. I have killed a few 400EXs in my riding time, no problem. They are the slowest of the high-performance class all they have going for them is handling and suspension. So im just tired of all the sh*T people talk on the 300. It may not be a 660 or 400 or 440 or what ever the **** you ride but it still holds it own.

you wish, theres no comparision, the 400 is much better than the 300, in a race theres no way that a 300 can beat a 400 unless the person driving the 400 was just plain retarded :rolleyes:

i dunno about u guyz but i've beat 300ex in 4th gear with my motor work 20 rear tires and a 16t sproket haha...

Lets see here....I have jumped 60 foot doubles on a 300ex and broke my arse...and hit it on a stock ex....and compared to the 300ex it was like landing in pillows...I have lined up next to many many many 300ex and not one has ever pulled a holeshot with a 400ex....in 4 stroke B class....but there are none in A class....

a 300ex thats bored .080 over, with a decent cam/pipe, diffrent gearing etc will hang with a stock 400ex, not sayin it will beat it but it will be a fairly close race.
Personally i think the 330 kit is a waste of money (no offence guys) but look at it this way. You can go out and spend $2500 on the motor, with the piston/sleeve/rockers/cam/pipe/filter/jets etc.. but it will still have the terrible suspention the 300ex has and with the added power its going to be worse. But then there are some people who wanted something different and thats why they decide to mod their 300ex. I've seen alot of the modded 300exs on this site and i gotta admit. they look badass!
Me personally had the chance to mod my 300ex or buy a 400ex and i decided to sell the 300 and buy the 400, i couldn't have been happier (probably because the 300ex was falling apart).
But never the less, stock for stock a 300ex will not come anywheres near a stock 400.

in some peoples minds u are exactly right a 330kit is a waist and its very true.. but to one his own. i luv the way the 300 is setup so i mod it out. it must be half good cause i got 12th of 30 in fourstroke b?

now how are you gonna go say this when you don't even know what his fourwheeler has on it or what it has done to it, and if you read right he said that it would beat a PIPED 400 not a 440 or a 416 or anything he just said piped

i dunno bout you guys but ive seen some pretty fast 300s, the last race i was at a 300ex pulled the holeshot on a bunch of 400exs and z400s, not too mention that 300exs also beat alot of 400s in the harescramble. Like many people say ts more rider than quad, just think, how the **** and why the **** would tracci cecco(spelling?) ride a 300ex if te 400exs were so much better. Her husband said he has seen her 365ex or what ever cc it is eat many built 400exs.

i've had both- no comparison- sorry man, it's just plain better
