The hybrid did well out on the sand this weekend. This was the first time I actually got to open it up and see what it can do...and I must say I am very impressed, even with the motor still being stock except for the HRC head pipe and HMF slip on.
I think there is still room for improvement though, I was experiencing a WOT miss while accelerating thru all the gears...like a pop coming through the exhaust. I was running a 165 MJ and bumped it up to 168 and it still did it. So I suspect I need to richen up the needle a bit. My friend who heard the bike thinks it's the over rev, but it was still accelerating and it wasn't the same sound as when the revs bounce off the limiter.
What do you guys think....what jetting are you guys using?
FYI...I was using a stock 400EX air filter at the time, and too little seat time with the Pro Design air filter I would normally run to know if it makes a difference.
