I hate to sell this thing but i just got my drivers licence and have to pay some bills. What i have is a 2002 400ex. It was just totaly rebuilt about 20 hours ago. I changed the ball joints, swingarm bearings, wheel bearings, new bearing carrier,brand new chain and sprokets and i might be missing some stuff. The motor was totaly rebult. i put all new bearings in it, crank shaft bearings, main shaft bearings, counter shaft bearings, cam bearings, etc etc ect... I also put in all new seals and a brand new hot rod crank with a wisco 11:1 high comp piston. I put the GT thunder HD head studs in as well. It has a EBC clutch with HD springs. The head was also rebuilt, new guids andseals. all the engine work was all done by Mike Gaulia at island racing in south hero Vermont. Mike is Pro snowmobile racer TJ Gulia's father and he dose awsome work!
For supention it has elka Std travle supention, which is set up for a 180 lbs rider, with laeger +2 a-arms (which have new ball joints). In the rear it has a +1.25 houser swingarm with a durablue 2+2 axle. It also has a +1 Burgrd steering stem. The tires still have about 80% of the tred and still have some life left in them.
THIS QUAD WAS NEVER RACED!! i had plans of racing but then got into dirt bikes and raced that instead.
Now for the bad.
1. it needs a new stearing stem bearing because it has a little up and down play.
2. It wont shift into 5th gear due to a bent shift fork.(you can still ride it, you just can go past 4th) >>>Its not as bad as it sounds, replacing a shift fork is a weekend project<<<
3. the rear plastic is scratched for my riding boots rubbing on them.
Other then those 3 things this quad is like new. It has tons of power and handles like its on rales.
Im asking $3,000 >>>OR BEST OFFER!!!!!<<<
