400ex platic on 300ex...how hard?

whos done it? does anybody have any pics of them? where coould i get the 400ex platic and how do i make it fit? :huhwill it be real loose or fit nice?.....ya i know a lot of questioins but jsut fill me in guys...i hate the 300ex plastic and lookin for somethin better, like the 400ex plastic!!:D

Alright. i have the same problem except i got REAL REAL REAL lucky. I got a set of plastic, side panels, lights, gas tank cover and rear fender for $39 bucks!!!
My dad works with this guy and he needed a new rim so we traded. SO i need a seat and i think the back will fit good. I need the 400ex seat because, mine is too long. So the back is pretty easy. NOW THE FRONT. WOW, thats goin to be some work. I still have to put the front on it. i just got of the plastic yesterday. I think it will fit pretty good. With some mods. The front is going to be a PECKER. but it will look awsome.
By the way the fronts are already cut! so im good to go if i can get em on. Good luck. Go to ebay and look there are some pretty good deals. and if ebay is no good go to planethondaracing.com. i don't think they have em on there site but u can call. i think its around 125 for the front and rear. You will still need side panels, gas tank cover, and the whole front light assembly.

I heared it can't be done. Every thing is diffrent and won't fit.

it can be done, my friend did this about 2 months ago. u need complete 400 plastic and seat. the front mounts up fairly easy, just need to make a few brackets. the rear is a little harder. u need to move the posts that have the round rubber grommets on them. they need to be moved a part some. theres a thread abpout this on here somewhere. the guy put 400 plastic on a 250x which is basically a 300 with a smaller bore.

Are you sure thats is 400 plastic or maire 300ex racing plastic.

i dont know to come to think of it but i am pretty damn sure it is 400ex plastic....if it is 300ex racing plastic that will be the first on my list!:eek:

im almost definate thats maier racing plastic, it comes up where the gastank is instead of a flat smooth hood like a 400 or 250r

no, i have race fronts, mine doesn't look anything like that. Unless they're makin something new. I said forget it, and decided i want to keep my 300 plastic. Cuse i just got a new graphics kit and seat cover, BUT A BRIGHT IDEA HIT ME. I'm usin the 400ex lights on my 300ex and taking off the old light. Now im UNIque. :devil

yup that is fullbore white 300ex plastic. it looks like 400 plastic but it isnt....it is mucho dinero though
