well its time 4 brakes AGAIN on my 400ex. i no how to do everything except how are you guys compressing the brake piston in all the way? i have it almonst all the way in but theres still some of it sticking out. I just rebuilt my rear caliper less then a year ago. so im hoping i dont need 2 rebulid it again! i losened the parking break completly if that matters any help would be niice thanxs.

place an old pad over the piston and squeeze with a pair of chanel locks

i tried that and no go still stickin out like a quarter of an inch....

This might help....

Remove the PB assembly completely rather than just loosening it and/or remove the cap to the master cylinder reservoir. Be careful of the fluid spilling over, it's a great paint remover.

i prefer to use a c clamp as well after removing the parking brake. it just allows you to compress it smoother and make sure the piston is going back in square

I always take a big socket and push on the piston, so it doesn't mess up your caliper finish either.
