ok so i noticed that my clutch lever had a lot of up and down play in it compared to like the 450r and other quads....so i go to tighten the bolt and it snaps in half.....so anyways i got another bolt and put it back on...i'm scared to tighten it too tight cuz i don't wanna break it again....i mean the clutch works fine but i just wanted to tighten it up a bit.....like the front brake lever only has a little up and down play in it......anyone noticed this...if so ...did u just leave it or how did u tighten it up?

mine is pretty loose too, I dunno if it is normal or not but it works fine. You should have 20-30 mm of play back and forth in the clutch lever

they just wear out, at the pivot, the cheap levers and many stock ones are just metal on metal contact. You can prolong their life by disassembling them, cleaning, and greasing them on a regular basis. Many of the nice aftermarket levers and perches have bearings in the pivot to prevent this.

If you have the money to spend a lil extra, i'd say get the ASV unbreakable lever. It's totally worth the cost, and when your bored (say waiting for your friends to catch up) you can just fling the lever back and it makes a nice sound.

teflyon sp or electical tape around the inside then clamp it back down. i have a msr easy pull clutch perch and lever and its an awsome set up.
