i tried 18 and 20 inch tires. 20 are definately the way to go. you have more meat to soak up bumpy terrain. also, the 18's really made my quad feel lower, and there was not a big difference in acceleration - at least not enough to make up for the top end you lose from dropping down from stock 22's.

if you put 18's on it, your quad will go 40-45 mph. Run 20's. 18's aren't worth the acceleration when you lose so much top end.

20" = 50MPH

22" = 55MPH

GIVE OR TAKE A MILE OR TWO.

SERIOUSLY, THE 18'S REALLY DIDN'T SEEM TO ACCELERATE MORE THAN THE 20'S, BUT I COULD TELL A DIFFERENCE IN TOP SPEED. AND IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE FRONT WHEELS ON THE GROUND WHEN ACCELERATING HARD. PARTLY DUE TO THE ACCELERATION, AND LOWER REAR CHANGING THE GEOMETRY.

yeah a little bit, but you will lose a bit top end. it isn't bad though.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S NECESSARILY BETTER, JUST DIFFERENT. I CAN WHEELIE FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE ROOM WITH ANY OF THE TIRES I'VE TRIED ON THE 250EX. HONESTLY, THE STOCK TIRES WERE GOOD FOR WHEELIES, AND THAT WAS ABOUT ALL THEY WERE GOOD FOR.
