Honda redid the 400ex made it a bit lighter and liquid cooling,what do you guys think of that,or model the engine after the 450r but just a 400cc yeah i know your asking why right just look at the crf150f it turn into a crf150r and that thing rips that's modeled after the crf450r and personally i love that bike it really moves but back to the 400ex i think that would be an awesome quad for some one looking for more of a trail rider a not a race inspired machine.any how tell me what you think,how could Honda make a better 400ex.

I'd rather see them keep the 400EX pretty much the same--rock solid air-cooled reliability and simplicity--and develop an all new quad that competes with the Raptor 700. New suspension for the 400EX would be nice though.

yeah they dont really need liquid cooled just give the engine a bigger stock oil cooler and the manual will tell you the new amount of oil needed and new shocks would be beast =D

I recon they should put the XR650 motor in a 400 frame. that sort of power matched with the geometry of a 400 frame would make and awesome trail machine, they could also fit the 450r shocks as stock too.

personally i dont know what the future for the 400cc sport quads are going to be. I think its going to come to an end pretty soon. I also think that they are going to take the crf250r motor out of the dirt bike and put it in a quad for the younger riders. and like one person was saying earlier, i deff think that they should make a sport quad with a motor based off of the xr650 just maybe bored out to a 700.

Honda should make a 400r :devil: Just put a 450r motor in it and bore it down. :devil:

I would rather see a 250 dirt bike motor in a frame like the 450R or the 400ex. That would kick arse. 250 dirt bike motors put out more power than a 400ex anyways, plus combine that with a lightweight chassis and some awesome suspension, you would have a wicked fun kick arse bike!
