Holeshots are nice for racing but wear too fast for trail riding. I think razrs are better for trail riding.

If it's trail riding where Maximum ground clearence is needed than go for 22 inch tires. If not than go for 20. Now, odd how nobody mentioned Kenda Knarleys, very good long lasting tires. The Kenda Klaw XCR's are very good too, but I heard the Knarlies were better for trail riding.

If you ride alot of hard packed terrain and rocks then I wouldnt touch a set of Irazr's. Razr2 and HD are the best rear tires Ive ever rode and Ill buy em till they quit makin em

The trails where i ride are hard dirt in the summer but really wet during the winter months...whats best for these conditions?

How much better would the 18 inch tires handle VS. the 20 inch tires.

Razr 2's all around.

UNLESS you don't like to much side bite, then go with Razr 1 rears and Razr 2 fronts.

I run Razr 2's all around if it's sandy, muddy, silty, etc. And Razr 1's in the rear if its hard pack, or motocross. Razr 2's can be hard to controllably slide depending on your riding style and the terrain.

the holeshots are too hard so they wear out in chunks so if its hard packed the will wear out really quick, you cant go wrong with razrs

i had holeshot xcs that lasted forever and right now i have holeshot hds ive had on for 2 years and they still have more then half tread left. and i love them and the hook up. only thing i dont like is there heavy and you feel every bump.and ive done a few burnouts on pavement too. so im not to sure that they wear to fast. however i did just order the new holeshot srs

I'm with you, I have a set of holeshots that are ~8 years old, excellent tread, 02 holeshot xcr's that are 3/4 tread. I don't know where these guys say that holeshots wear quick. It all depends on where you ride, at my friends farm, the soil is real hard and some rocks, tires wear very quick, if you ride soft stuff, tires last forever. My friend wore a set of razr's to nearly no tread in ~6 months.

I would much rather ride on my IRazr than my HD's anyday. Overall performance in traction is about the same but sliding is way more predictable on the IRazr's and the ride comfort is much better. Don't really see the wear issue with a few rides on them. My opinion, my nearly new HD's are sitting as spares now.

i have ITP Blackwaters... i don't see em any more so they might be discontinued, but i love them. last a long time to. And in the front i have Pure Sports.

I run the HD's all around and so far there great for traction but the fronts plug with mud which tends for the front of the quad to slide out. I've had mine on for over a year and so far they barly show any signs of major wear.

razr 2s all the way! Or go out of the box and try the new holeshot gncc

if i were to put a 20 inch tire instead of a stock 22 inch what would be the affect.
