I was drawing up the designs for my aluminum airbox that I was going to make for my 400. Well, I was talkin to one of my riding buddies and he said 250r airfilters move the air in at a higher velocity. Is this true? Would it give my 400 more horsepower or should I not waste the effort?

I heard the same thing. In one of my Atv sports in the phase II of the raptor project the have a aluminum airbox that is bigger then the stock one and they said they used a 250r filter becuz there bigger and as a result can flow more air.

Do you got a pic of a 250r filter? Do they clamp on just like a 400ex style filter or are they different?

I planned on buying a K&N. But the point is that the design of the 250r filter is better and flows more then a 400ex filter.
