cutting out

ok i have an 02 400ex stock motor wise and it was running rich and my rockers were knocking. i checked my valve clearence it was good. i replace my plug and the knocking stoped but gas poured out of the overflow. so i tore the carb apart and put it back together. It still was cutting out but not leaking any more. i took it to the stealer and had the carb rebuilt. i got it home and put it back together and fired it up still cutting out what else could it be i put a new spark plug in it 2 times in one week and its still cutting out even after the stealer rebuilt my carb. what else could be causing it to cut out.

it sounds like your running too rich. Do you have an exhaust or intake on there? When your plug gets taken out is it black and sooty? Its possible that you have bad gas or a plugged up fuel petcock also, I would drain and refill the tank and also check the fuel petcock to make sure its flowing freely. Also make sure and check all of your hose clamps on the intake side

or maybe the cdi box, coil, plug wire?

coil is my next check im done with it for the night though
