Is it wise to make payments on a yfz? Do they hold there value, are they reliable?

I made payments on my '04 that I bought in August of '03. I paid it off last May. I haven't had any issues with it, great bike.

I really don't see any problem with making payments on a YFZ. You just have to accept the fact that you will pay a little more for it over the long run and if you have to get rid of it in a hurry, you may have to pony up some cash. Buying on credit and paying off in a timely fashion can also help your credit rating. Whatever you do, make your payments on time.

Reliability is a non-issue for the YFZ as far as I'm concerned.

no kidding. Credit is your friend if you use it wisely.

What I did is use the Yamaha credit for the 6months free interest. I then went into my local credit union and picked up a loan for the remaining 4000 (I put some cash down) and they gave me a very good rate (4.5% back in 2004) for the remainder. I paid extra every month on it and paid it off early.

after the period in the sentance is key... if you use it wisely...

having good credit is good... having unneccessary debt isnt... he is being wise- he is being conservative... nobody ever got themselves into trouble being conservative, but i know lots of people who have gotten themselves into trouble by financing a lot of things...

a house is a neccessity... and 99% of the population has to finance them... althought a quad is a neccessity to me

:D , it may not be to others... and if push came to shove and i couldnt afford it, i would go without a quad until i could...
