doesn't the yfz450 rear shock use linkage????
Is it ok to not have the linkage setup??

Yeah it uses one. I don't need/use one on my quad.

does that effect performance on the shock??
I have a blaster and i was gonna put on yfz shocks all round, im probably gonna use a plus 3 or 4 swing arm so that linkage isn't needed??

The YFZ shock in the rear will definitely make the rear of the quad sit higher. So I guess it depends on where you ride. MX, Dunes , trails, or mud. Only on trails or mud would you want the rear that high. This is of course my opinion. Performance wise it's a good alternative to expensive aftermarket shocks.
Here's a pic of the old set-up with the added weight of the motor. It does make a little difference.

yea yfz shocks are a lot better than blaster shocks and the blaster looks small anyway so i guess the added height would look better make it look like more of a bigger quad. do you know how much it raises it??? like 3 inches or so????
for the front you would help a lot if you could take a picture of the front shocks and how u mounted those on that would be much appreciated if you could take an up close pic and post it

I'll show just one more pic only because I don't want to spoil the pics with the motor installed ;). The fronts are 22x8x10's and the rears are 22x12x8's.
2muchquad: There's no motor in it yet (PB prepares for some ball busting :))

Got the exhaust, carb, and chain hooked up. She running very lean, to the point that I'm not going to ride again untill the new carb gets here...PB

I added 6 links to the chain.

Man that looks sweet. If you could pick up a carb from a 89 to 94 yz250,it may work well for you.I say those years because i had a 90 carb on the it400 motor a while back and it was really easy to set up and tune.Plus it started without drama.looks good,i may build snother blaster later with the vintage 490 i have,hmm...;)

I already bought a Keihin 39mm PWK, just waiting for it to get here.
Awww man a 490 Blaster would be sweet done right. If I remember right you said you had it tuned good too!
