View Full Version : What is my KFX400 running for a stock main jet?

I ordered a full BIG GUN exhaust for my KFX so I e-mailed BIG GUN to see if they had any jetting suggestions. They told me to go up one or two sizes on my main and leave the pilot stock. Then he asked me "what is your stock main jet in canada?" I am almost positive that it would be the same as the USA version....but I don't know what that is, so if anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

Stock is a 135. Try a 155 main if it is a full system with air box mods or filter. The main is located in the brass bowl, not the first one you see. Any other ?'s, let me know.

Thanks. I went up to my local bike shop and looked at the service manual and it says that the main is a 130(all of the models.) I want to run the stock air box and filter...well maybe a uni (i'm gonna stick with foam.) I am at sea level...do you still reccomend a 155? "Mike" at BIG GUN reccomended going up just one or two sizes.

In the future, Id check out www.z400central.com That site is awesome. Not to take anything away from exriders, this site is freakin bad and Im sure z400central would love to have the success of exriders. Just a better source for z400 info

Ya not trying to take anything away from EXriders, i want my site to be just as big as them one day! lol. but you might find a tad more info there than here....as you would find more honda info here than there...:)

Yeah, I've been to Z400central.com and it looks like it is going to be a cool site....but, As of right now it is a lot slower than exriders.(at least for me it is.) Plus I've kinda added exriders to my daily routine and I don't really have time to surf z400central often.
I am a Honda man deep down I just got sick of waiting for them to build another sport quad. I do love my KFX and I will drop by z400central occasionally. Thanks.
