what exactly would going to a 13 tooth front do to the performance?

gear your bike DOWN, better acceleration(sp?) you will lose some top speed though:(

basiclly, it will give you much more torque and acceleration and overall more low end in all gears. the drawback is that the gears are going to be a little shorter and you will get to top speed very fast which will be a lower top speed. id you ride woods i would give it a shot, it helps a lot!
