Neeed help asap..

I put new handle bars on my 05 z400.When i took the choke lever and headlight controls off to put on the other handle bars it idled really high like 4000 rpm.So i took it all apart and the cable was unhooked.So i started it up and pulled it out but it still idles way high,Whats the problem???:mad:

check the throttle and choke cables. Something is maybe pinched or broke.

if not these, check the carb for stuck parts.

I PUT NEW BARS ON MINE HIGH BEND. CHECK YOUR TROTTLE AND CHOKE CABLES. MINE WERE STRETCHED OUT. WHEN I TURNED LEFT IT WOULD PULL MY CHOKE CABLE, CUTTING OUT THE ENGINE. TURN RIGHT IT WOULD REV UP. MY QUESS IS CABLE STRETCHED OUT.

just get rid of it on the bars you can get it put on the carb but you need parts from a dirtbike a 400 it elimates the need on the bars and puts it onto the crab.
