Foot of the mountain is a good race, I've walked the entire track a couple times and it's very rocky and has quite a few hill climbs, as well as down hills. There is a few stright aways that tend to get whooped out so make sure you have your suspension dialed or it'll be a long day lol.. They also have some log piles you have to go over about 2 turn's from the holeshot.

If your looking to do a bunch of races there's an entire PA state harescramble series which races at Dutchmen, Evansville, Foot of the mountain, Miles mountain, Hurricane, both Rausch locations and Back Mountain. There is usually a big turn out at the races so your almost always guarenteed a great race.

The first turn at foot has taken a few out this season, behind the 400ex there is a dip in the ground so make sure you look out for that.. :p

Yep if you follow that main road the whole way down, it goes to the iron bridge. You ever go on the other side? There are some good trails over there if you get the chance. Just don't go in the river after it has rained haha. That side gets pretty damn deep!

The Butler fair race was always fun! But 1/2 mile track lets novice flat trackers get in trouble with the high speeds you could get on that size track. I've raced there many times, but just watched last year. They had a bad wreck, I heard rumors that someone was killed. This year they didn't have a race. I called Fair officials, they would only say no racing this year, no reason why... :(

btw... I saw in your other post about the toys for tots ride. Is that this weekend? I wanted to try it out last year, but didn't. Only 10 minutes from where I live!

i've been there we go on a big ride to our camp and we have to cross the creek but this year we had to go a different way because it looked deep my dad trired to cross it on his grizzly which has a 4 inch lift and we had to pull him out with a winch so it was pretty deep

yah haha. We sadly drowned a warrior there one year. Used to be good riding up there, but it now people bought everything. Those strip mines were bad *** to mess around on. This winter I might head up there. I might have a deal to get a quad, so if I do I'll have to pm yah and we'll go riding.

No I run bikes. I'll be there a good bit this summer. Just look for the KTM 200sx. I'll be there.

It's not a bad track. There is a track I ride at in port matilda for free, but you have to have connections lol.

Other than that there isn't a whole lot around here. Rocket is about an hours drive from altoona, wolfmann's (if they ever decide to open it) is roughly 45 min from altoona, creekside is about 2 1/2ish from me. Those are mainly the tracks I ride at. I hit up BPG every now and then, but honestly for like $40 plus the drive, I'd rather hit up a local track. BPG is nice, but the day I was there it was super dusty, but I like the layout.

Have any of you guys been out to the BREEZEWOOD PROVING GROUNDS MX PARK? We are in South Central Pa, 10 miles from the Breezewood exit on the turnpike, where interstate 70, the turnpike and route 30 all meet. Check out our website at www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com

We love quads here and have 3 different tracks both bikes and quads ride on. We groom and water daily, and have a dining hall, shower house, real bathrooms and luxury cabins for rent.

Hope to ride here with all of you this spring when we re-open in March after our winter shut down.

Creekside is bike only, hi voltage doesnt allow quads to practice. Switchback is a fun track they have a sx and a mx. Mx is rough so you better have nice suspension. Pyramid valley in wv is a fun quad track with weekly practices, and also panther hollow out altoona way. My personal favorites are breezewood and switchback. The D5 tracks like steel city and high point dont have a per say practice day. But some of the series they run will have a practice saturday before a sunday race..

I run bikes, so I can't really say that I pay attention to what tracks allow quads and which don't.

Big races usually have mixed practice days and practice before race days, so it's hit or miss, but it's a place to ride. Panther is in huntington, but I dunno how far he's willing to drive. Creekside is roughly 2 hours from me in Altoona, so he'd be looking at a 2 hour drive. Rocket raceway is also an option if he's out this way. SRD is an ok track. Nothing special but it's a place to ride.

ALRIGHT I'VE HAD IT!!!!!! I just finished my MX track. I live in Slippery Rock. My track has 9 jumps varying from 20' to 70. The track isn't for the light-hearted. I have some pics but can't figure out how to resize them. If you like to ride motocross and have some skill give me a call and come ride. No fees just come ride with my track with me! Always looking for people to ride with. Not being cocky about the skill part.. just the jumps are decently sized and they do have gaps that you cannot come up short on. All table landings.

724-421-5688 Call/text/leave a message. I have a pretty busy work schedule so I can't always answer the phone. Lets get some people together and have a good time!

If latrobe speedway is the same place I'm thinking it is, that place was a joke the last time I was there.

Don't ride track, lol :p Around at these slate dumps, we just found a new 75ft step up, 450 just clears it, pretty fun.

It handles really good, suspention is set for my weight. It goes both ways, much more bottom end with the 4.1 because stock '09 pipes are restrictive as hell, but still has a good top end. Not too sure but I drag race cars on the side of a highway at my friends house and I kill them and they're going anywhere from 65-80. I start out not moving either until we are lined up.

which means click up a gear and hold it to the limiter on a 250f. Trust me ;)

The one section at the local track has an 80' uphill and it's 4th wide up the hill and it just pulls me over it.

Bellmawr,NJ just the other side of the Walt Whitman Bridge outside of Phila. I'm sure most if not all of you coal miners passed through here on your way to the Jersey Shore.

The best place to ride in New Jersey is Pennsylvania. :D

Yeah its alright its always muddy as hell though. Where do you go in when you go to Finelyville? I used to go in off peters creek road by greenmans tunnel but now people fish that and take up the little pull off where we park :ermm:
