What are the best in opinion tires for winter-season riding? Putting them back on the stock rims probably, should I go with stock tires, Trail Claw II's...somethin like that so it'll still handle halfway decent when no snow? Or something heavy and chunky like 20" Blackwaters? Any other opinions??

Thank you!

i heard the stockers do really well in the snow. the reason i wouldnt get big bulky ones like the blackwaters are you gotta be careful with them burning out your bearings or stuff like that. the trail claws look pretty good but never seen anyone with them so i couldnt say with those.

I was kind of thinking something in 20" size for the stock 9" rim, so when it wasn't real snowy, I wouldn't have to change back to the XCR's for good handling.

Im goin to get a set of sand tires for mine cause i think they will work the best and also pure sport realtures adn the maxxis 4 snow im goin to mount up some skis to my 300ex and a set of 20" sand tires i think i should get pretty good looks around my area alot of sled riders.

trail claws work AWESOME in the snow, and so do the stockers, but the trail claws, i will never switch to another tire in the snow, except maybe the Razr2s?? i wonder if those would hook up!?

Ive got a set of Pure Sport Bandits. You dont want those for snow. The knobs on the rear tires have alot of surface area. There best used in rocky conditions. Last year, I had such a difficult time in the snow, im considering ordering a set of stock rears for the snow this year. :)

if its snow like ud find in coloroado (sp) id get maxxis 4-snow but if its like round here ice snow sleet and the roads are exposed everyonce in a while id go wit somthin like paddle masters or new stock tires.

I have a set of Maxxis 4-SNOW and I will never put other brand of tires for the snow. They grip awesome and didn't wear fast.

I use it too for grass drag racing.
