i'm going to put a 14 or 15 thoot sprocket in the front of my quad, and ..

do i need to buy a larger chain, or the one that i have can be used
?

somebody told me that i can use the same but, i see it in the bikes (mountain or street bike) that when you change gears, the length of the chain changes, so i guess that i have to change he chain. but dont know....

thankx for the input on this..

Most likely if you are going up a tooth then you will need a longer chain. I would recommend changing the chain any time you do a sprocket install.

there should be enough room to go one tooth either direction with the stock chain.

if you only up it one tooth, it'll most likely fit, but i too recommend getting a new chain.

Well your chain should probably be stretched a little so it should fit

if your chain is stretched, which i bet you it is, it could cause future problems depending on how hard you ride. Eventually it'll strip you sprocket[s]. I've only had problems with the front, but i'm sure the back could get beat up too. I'd get a new chain.

i was runnin 13-39 had less than 1 hour on my chain and put a new 14t on the front and had just enough room for it to fit with the proper chain slack. still have to much pull after neil(cleigh) did the motor i think im gonna drop to a 36 in the back, i let you know what i have to do to fit that.
